  • Developed in Sweden in the 1800's, Swedish massage uses different strokes to achieve the ultimate goal of relaxing the whole body.  Techniques such as tapotement, effleurage and long gliding strokes working on the muscles and blood flow to the heart, can reduces stress, elevate mood, stimulate  blood flow & the lymphatic system. It keeps tissues supple and can aid in a better nights sleep .

  • Remedial Massage Therapy is the assessment and treatment of soft tissue dysfunctions that cause pain and restrict human movement.

  • Neruomuscular therapy is a specialized form of deep tissue massage in which digital pressure and friction are used to release areas of strain  in the muscle.  These areas of strain are called trigger points and can produce symptoms of muscular pain and also refer pain to other parts of the body.   Trigger points can CAUSE pain problems, COMPLICATE pain and MIMIC other pain.

  • A type of massage in which fingers, thumbs and elbows are used to release chronic muscle tension.  The technique uses slower, more forceful strokes to target the deep layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is believed to increase blood flow and to be of greatest use in problem muscles for pain, rehabilitation and arthritic complaints.
